You'll pass over numerous trestles and ride through the kilometer long Bulldog tunnel….don't

This is a delightful ride that almost anyone can
do, and one of the most beautiful as well. We shuttle you
to Eholt, once a major rail town with a roundhouse and
engine repair shop, now a ghost town West of Grand Forks.
The rail grade descends along the beautiful North Fork
Valley, with two short tunnels and great vistas of farmland.
The grade is smooth and 2% downhill all the way, so almost
everyone can do this one. Riders enjoy lunch at the Station
Pub restaurant, a fine restoration
of the
original
CPR
stop
in Grand Forks, then are transported back to Christina
Lake by one of our vehicles.

We’ll wind through deep cedar groves and sunny meadows, past abandoned farms and some quaint country homesteads on this day of adventure. We’ll stop for a bite by a bubbling brook, and then make our way down the final descent to return to WildWays for a cool drink. Cost

Mountain Bike
(rentals available) |
| Length: |
3
hours |
| Difficulty: |
Easy |
This is our least strenuous ride but has some of the most spectacular features on it. We begin our ride from WildWays, then enjoy an easy ride to the TCT, a few short km’s away. We cross over the Kettle River on the longest trestle to span its width, and then ride on to the Cascade Gorge, where the view of the Falls from Rainbow Rock is breath-taking. This is the place to have your camera! Then we pass over a shorter trestle, which spans the mouth of the gorge and pause to reflect on the historical significance of this site, where Nicola Tesla first produced AC electricity. Our final descent to Christina Lake lets the wind blow through your hair, as we return to enjoy a complimentary drink at Jimmy Beans Bistro.
Cost
$59 per person. Minimum group size 3 people. Bike rental extra.
